PROJECT →

Picture This Stockport is a 245-unit Build-to-Rent residential development located in Stockport town cntre.

Designed, delivered and managed as a joint venture between Progressive Living and Picture This.
The scheme has been conceived as a long-term, purpose-driven BTR investment, centred on
inclusive design, sustainability, and neighbourhood values.

The development is intentionally designed to feel welcoming, and fit for purpose, to people aged 0 –
100. Unusually for an open market apartment scheme, all the apartments are M4 (2) accessible
standard, with a further 22 apartments being M4 (3) wheelchair accessible
homes. The design also considers best practice in neurodiversity, women’s sense of
safety, and social isolation. This pro-active approach to inclusive design has already gained
international attention.

The scheme is being delivered to Passivhaus Low Energy standards and supports a low carbon
lifestyle. It incorporates shared amenities such as practical rooftop growing which will be managed
by Manchester Urban Diggers CIC, a residents’ laundrette lounge, a publicly accessible ground-floor
neighbour hub, and a play intervention on the streets around the development.

Planning was unanimously consented in July 2025, and patient equity awarded from the Mayor’s GM Good Growth Fund.
